Healthcare

Although the health care debate has been largely focused in Washington, there are many things that can be done in New Hampshire. Granite Staters are struggling in this difficult economy, the intolerable cost of health insurance is straining family budgets. Soaring insurance costs and mandates are preventing individuals without insurance from being able to afford quality coverage. Jack Kimball believes that we can lower the cost of health insurance and offer better coverage, more choices and accessibility, and provide affordable options for those currently uninsured.

Over the last four years, the current administration has largely been indifferent to the problems in our states heath care system. Even worse, they have presided over the implementation of mandates that have ensured higher health care costs. Additionally, they have lacked the leadership to tackle real reforms, such as tort reform, purchasing coverage across state lines, health savings accounts, and giving families incentives to prepare for their long-term needs.

Jack Kimball believes that now is the time to have bold bi-partisan solutions that permanently address the problems in New Hampshire’s health care system.
